Frost protection FleecesWe supply two different types of Fleece options 17G and 18G Spunbonded fleeces. One weighs 17gm/m2 or higher density available is 18gm/m2.The 17G fleece is manufactured from spun-bonded UV stabilised polypropylene. It can be used to protect from frost, wind, hail, birds and insects. Weighing only 17gm/m2, the material simply floats on top of the crops without damaging the young plants, providing them with the ideal growing environment. The 18g spunbonded fleecehas approximately 10% more density and has been individually UV treated and due to its unique construction, it has a high tension tear resistance and as a result is very durable.With sonically welded seams, the Fleece has a higher tear resistance than other competitor products. Fleeces act like a protective duvet for plants, maintaining a temperate microclimate while protecting from frost, snow, hail, rainbeat, slugs, snails and insects. It allows for an earlier and healthier crops. Fleeces will also diffuse strong sunlight, reduce transpiration and is permeable.
